Thanks, Chris, I'll check it out. Any of the chamecyparus (sp??) that get
large enough to cut on? I have c. pisiflora 'Boulevard' and love it in the
garden, but it will never get big enough to remove whole branches.

If you're not into firs, there are some pine options too. Try something
like Pinus flexilis 'Glauca' (although it's more of a gray-green).
There are also a ton of Juniper species, but if you're trying to avoid
getting stabbed they may not be the best choice. :)
