RE: Schizophragma hydrangeoides 'Roseum'


Well, this is disheartening indeed!  Two of you giving this report.

My plant (for good or bad) is in a VERY LARGE pot at the base of a very old
fir tree.  It has doubled in size since spring in these conditions and is
not about 2' wide.  

After I'd already purchased and potted this plant, I saw a mature specimen
on a local garden show, so it CAN be done here in Oregon -- I wonder what
gives?
