KittyHi Don, When you mention Malus and Ginkgo, I get very different ideas of height and growth speed. When you talk Maple and Birch, heights and shapes are at odds. So I wondered, any general ultimate height or shape you're looking for?
Yes, they are quite different, but with the location, I think any number of them might work, as long as they are paired, of course. I would prefer something not TOO slow growing. I'd also like something that would provide some shade for the front of the building. Now that the days are getting longer, it's starting to get nice and toasty inside the bar.

I've already talked with them and they said if I don't want what they have at the city nursery, I could plant my own (at my expense and subject, I'm sure, to their approval). But that's why I'm asking all of you Nice Folks what would do best there.Might want to check with the city about which trees you can plant there. Here they have a list and you can find yourself fined as well as having to move it!
