* An invasive plant bill written by Conn. Nursery & Landscape Assoc.
died on
the floor of the state's House of Representatives. The bill, which
passed
several key committees and the state Senate. would have defined
invasive
plants and ensured that any economic impact on the green industry be
considered before future invasive-plant actions were taken. Bob
Heffernan,
CNLA exec. secretary, is optimistic the bill will be reintroduced next
January. (203) 445-0110.
