Selecting best red coloured seedlings?

I have a red leafed Norway maple - and I know most of you think Norway
maples is a weed. I know they are aggressive and all that -- but though I
like them - I like how the leaves look like, I like the flowers etc. I have
a some big tree f this now and lots of seedling under it. They vary in the red,

- now I wonder IF those already most red ( in the 2 leaves stage) will continue
that way to be the best red ones?
I also wonder why not ALL are good red?
I am going to take care of some of them :-)
