Hi Debby, I'm in USDA hardiness zone 5b. It's an attached garage, but I had it by the outside wall under a window. According to this site https://weather.com/news/weather/news/coldest-temperatures-winter-2016-2017-wrcc we were more like zone 6a this winter, though. The garage probably stayed at 10 degrees faranheit or more all winter.
