Free to good home - large bay laurel

My brother, who lives in Coventry Connecticut, would like to find a
home for a bay laurel tree which is now about 5' 6" tall and maybe 3'
in diameter. It originally came from the (somewhat famous) Caprilands
herb farm in Connecticut. For years, he's planted it out in the
summer and dug it up and potted it to bring indoors for the winter.

It's now gotten to such a size that he finds manhandling it into the
house more of a burden each year, and he doesn't really have
sufficient space or light indoors for it. He's got a couple of
off-shoots growing in small pots now, and would really like to get rid
of the big one. It would be wonderful for someone with a greenhouse
or large sunroom.

If he doesn't find a home for it, he'll probably harvest and dry the
leaves (which should yield about a 20 year supply of bay leaves...)
and put the rest through the chipper.

If you'd like to add this magestic plant to your collection, contact
Karl Stetson at 74267.2560@CompuServe.COM.

Happy gardening-
