lacecap hydrangea

I purchased a plant at a Master Gardener's plant sale labeled "white
lacecap hydrangea." The plants at the sale were all taken from local
gardens, so I assume that there are no zone problems with growing this
hydrangea here, but they don't seem to be very common either so I'm
wondering what cultural conditions are preferred . . . my guess would be
partial shade and moist humusy soil. Anybody grown one?
