Re: Tree ID needed


Hi,

based on fall leaf color, shape of leaf, and to some degree the buds, I 
would guess Nyssa sylvatica (Tupelo, Black Gum).  However, you mention 
leaves in a fan shape near the tip and that makes me think of oaks, perhaps 
Shingle Oak?
