Re: Corokia cotoneaster


Hi Diana,
I like the idea of making a bonsai of this plant. It hadn't occurred to me
to try that with it. I'm a little confused as to the American zoning
system. One of the previous contributors mentioned that this was only
suitable for zone 9 ..... would that mean that it would be unlikely to
survive an Irish winter outdoors ? We get a few degrees of frost and lots
of cold rain ... about 40" or so. I just got mine this year, more as a
curiousity than anything else, but the nursery assured me it was hardy ....
should I be minding it ?
Did your book mention probably growthrate/size when established by any
chance ?
