Mahonia x media 'Charity'
Glossy holly shaped leaves held in opposite pairs. Fairly slow-growing.
Bright yellow flowers. A book says lionel Forytesque is superb ... don't
know that version. Not sure whether they'd suit your drought-resistant
requirement .... we don't ever experience it .... 40" rain here !
