Re: Wanting winter interest plants

Walking around in the snow this Saturday I was reminded of another
good winter interest plant::

    Clethra barbinervis

Regarding the coralbark maple - The two I have are bright indeed (though
not as bright as A. p Erythrocladum). One is in the sun, the other shade.
The
shady one doesn't show up as much, so I would recommend sun if possible.
The color will intensify as winter progresses. Another word of
warning. Sangu Kaku and Erythrocladum are so bright as to be
disconcerting, like having a red jack-o-lantern on your lawn. You don't see
much
else.  Careful placement is important.
