Buxus sempervirens (our native British box) does have lovely aromatic smell. Don't know about others.

Okay, what would I look for to see if it is a Buxus? I bought several but none had names on them just yellow digging tape. Do all boxwoods smell? I guess I will have to go play detective. My friend Betty Walker does not have this one in her collection. She has been a member of the Boxwood Society for a long time. I get care packages(cuttings) from her every time I go to see her nursery and 200 year boxwoods.Nancy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Neely" <neelyr@missouri.edu> To: <woodyplants@hort.net>; <robyn82@bellsouth.net> Sent: Sunday, October 09, 2011 1:20 PM Subject: Re: BuxuxNancy, I ran this by some of my university hort friends and got this reply: On 10/8/2011 2:24 PM, snyderl wrote:Ron I checked all my Boxwood varieties and none of them show an indented apex in the leaf!
