I love the spindle tree which grows wild on the lake-shore here and
popping
up occasionally through hawthorn hedgerows; mostly for it's luminous pink
fruit beginning to colour at this time of year, but also for its pleasing
foliage and shape. Are there better cultivated forms with similar
properties ? I'm not interested in variegated types or dwarfs. Only
listing I've found which sounded hopeful was for 'Red Cascade', but is this
red berry colour, or pink berries with the added plus of red autumn foliage
?
Thanks in anticipation. New to list.
