Re: Variegated Holly: hardiness

Chris,
Today you posted a response to Heather in which she asked:

cold snap of -35F

In my limited holly experience, the variegated English hollies are not
particularly hardy in lands colder than USDA zone 6, and some cvs only to
z7. But I must restate that my experience is limited. We generally lose
them in State College, PA.

My advice would be to check carefully with your nurseryman.
