I have a couple of these. One is in an area that is constantly moist and
has some standing water in Apr/May. The other is in a fairly dry
location. Both seem to be doing fine. I have seen these in the wild
and in gardens. They will tolerate considerable shade but I like them
best in a bright place. In bright conditions they make a nice small specimen
shrub, dense, well-formed, with good foliage.
