Re: Lace-cap hydrangea


I was the recipient this past weekend of 10 lace-cap hydrangeas.  Lovely,
they are.  They are in full bloom, probably forced by a grower.  
But I haven't a clue whether they're hardy here.  Am thinking of cutting
and drying their heads and setting out the remaining plants in a shady
spot. A large old Deutzia offers some protection from the west, pines to
the south,  and  a large magnolia soulangiana does the shading.  Is this
a pipe dream?
