I planted "Grace" (the hybrid) 3 years ago. The leaves are large, as per
obovatus with
good bluish read color. The leaves are thin and look great with backlight.
It is growing
fast. First blooms this year were not spectacular, but could improve with
maturity.
No problems with hardiness here so far (-20 most winters). I have several
red leafed
selections of coggrygia in the same area that routinely get killed back to
the roots (but
they respond with 12' of new growth). No dieback at all on Grace.
