yellow rhododendron

I am enthralled by a picture I've seen of a yellow rhododendron
"Capistrano". I've never seen a yellow one and this is stunning. I am
about to fork over and buy one but they're kind of pricey and I need to
know this: is the reason that they are unusual because they are weak or
hard to grow? Does anyone have experience with yellows in general or
"Capistrano" in particular?
