Help with propagation

Hi,
Can someone give me a few hints on propagating my Colocasia and Alocasia? I
have several species of each and have not been very successful in multiplying
them. Is this the time of the year? How can I divide a large Portadora if it
never seems to send up offshoots? How about seed? Do I need to pollinate and
when do the seeds mature? Any help appreciated.
