Amorphophallus update, Fairchild Tropical Garden
A. gigas (#84) = 125", spathe partly open, expected to be open by this
weekend
Amorphophallus yunnanensis (#2317) finished
Amorphophallus henryi (#2736) a third one is in bloom, the second one is
almost over, 1 more to go. This one has a really nauseating odor that fills
an area. The waves of stench are of short duration but repeated frequently.
Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (#2741) about to bloom
Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (#2318) about to bloom
Amorphophallus muellerii (#2743) opened this morning... a sharp nasty smell
but not too overpowering
Titan Watch: Amorphophallus titanum (#83) = 11" tall and very fat. Still
don't know if it is an inflorescence or not.
