for your willingness to pass this on to Aroid-L. As I told you it is not
Philodendron angustilobum Croat & Grayum but I have always assumed that
this thing came from the Burle-Marx collection. Perhaps it really is a
species but I have always assumed that it was a hybrid, perhaps with P.
pedatum. I am hoping that someone on the list might have more familiarity
with this taxon.

Tom, could you please tell me if the material in the pictures can be P.
angustilobum? It was collected in the Rio de Janeiro Botanic
Garden (in cultivation) by Marcus and I for
a Masters student working on Philos stem anatomy. I have checked the flowers
and they match with your description. More ou less the material matches but the
vinaceus color of the petiole and part of the spathe
