It is amazing that you have seen him.  He was not only a botanist but a very good one trained at Harvard and had a very productive series of years at Selby Gardens before he decided to get out of botany for financial reasons.

What I find interesting about the search for this guy, is that I have not heard of him, yet I have seen him several times at the Davis Farmer’s Market having no clue he was a botanist.
