RE: [Aroid-l] Cinnamon Fungicide

I use all the time , I started using it 16 years ago on orchids works
really well ,best if used just as a cut is made... have used on rotting
succulents that I carved out the rot packed in the hole the powder & left to
dry heals & seals the cuts . now using on my philo cuts & have never lost a
cutting since I started using it on the philo's ... even have used it with
success on a rotted A.bulbcifer tuber .. best off it's non-toxic & need
for gloves ..smells nice too ... I have had better luck with this than
Roottone & the others ... even on a very rare African succulent I mixed
50/50 with roottone and saved it and that never happen before as I had lost
3 before with just roottone or nothing at all just a fan &warm dry air

I have not heard of cinnamon as an antifungal powder. Doesn't it burn the
cut? How effective is it? Does anyone else use it? Are other things better
or worse?
