Ken, Yes, I have reported this “company” to Amazon. As yet no feed-back. To make matters worse Books Llc is partailly misusing the name of a legitimate US company – bargainbooks Llc, which specializes in Americana. Peter From: aroid-l-bounces@www.gizmoworks.com [mailto:aroid-l-bounces@www.gizmoworks.com] On Behalf Of Ken Mosher Peter - have you tried to report this unscrupulous guy to Amazon? I don't know how easy that is but it would be worth the trouble if you had a few minutes to spare. Thanks for the warning. Dear All, Something unpleasant has come to light via Amazon – although it seems that Amazon itself is totally innocent. One or more “publishers’ are offering for sale “books” on various aroid subjects that are simply print-offs of Wikipedia pages or downloads and prints of pdfs available free from BHL. Of particular note are “publications” by a “publisher” called Books LlC that are Wiki data dumps, and various parts of Engler’s monographic studies such as the Monographiae Phanerogamarum. Peter |
