Re: Sending amorphophallus corms internationally

Thom,

which country is the destination?

I once had big trouble getting a paeonifolius corm out of the German customs sent from the US, since there was no phytosanitary certificate included. I got it inspected by the local plant health department and had to pay for that of course.

At the end it turned out that it would have gone through the customs without any inspection, fees or trouble, if it had only been declared as a vegetable!

So it ias highly recommended to inquire about the regulations at the customs of the country where the sending goes to.

On the other hand I have heard that sending went through without any problem or inspection.

Happy sending,

Bernhard.
