Hi All
I remembe Wilbert wrote me once that two inflorescenses on the same tubers means a mother tuber will split into two smaller tubers then. And he was right :) My A.beccarrii did it.
So maybe in this case it is going to be the same.
With regards,
Marcin
Oh Ye Phallic Phreaques!! In the botanical garden of Bonn (Germany) a tuber of Amorphophallus titanum was raised last year that weighs 117 kilo (that's quite some stones, lbs and whatnot). This largest of all titans ever is now producing THREE buds and already TWO are certain inflorescences!!! This was never seen before. And who knows, maybe the third bud is an inflorescence too. Site of the garden: http://botgart.uni-bonn.de/index.html but in german. Yet there is a link to a webcam. Enjoy and all you lovers of climbing aroids: CONVERT while you still can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
