Dear Eric,
To me, your purplish Xanthosoma is one of the many forms of Xanthosoma atrovirens. I have also seen a reddish form ("morada") and the regular blackish form.
The "Colocasia" excalibur is, for sure, a Caladium, probably from the group of Caladium picturatum. Julius, is this the one you brought from Trinidad?
Very best wishes,
Eduardo.

It doesn't get as large as the common X. sagitiifolium and it isn't X. violaceum. Is this possibly X. maffafa? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/leuaroid/detail?.dir=/ea46&.dnm=6779re2.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/leuaroid/detail?.dir=/ea46&.dnm=7adere2.jpg&.src=ph Thanks, Eric Orlando,FL z9b/10a __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
