Aroid foot candle benchmarks

My girlfriend's Orchid book has some benchmark light requirements (listed 
in foot candles) for different species.

Is this something that I need to pay close attention to while growing 
aroids?  Would I find a aroid footcandle chart in some past issues of 
Aroideana?
