My seed raised Synandrospadx vermitoxicus, has performed well and even bloomed for me. Last year it didn’t bloom, but looked otherwise healthy.
This year, however, there are 3 large and one small growing point, leading me to believe that the bulb has split. See attached picture. It will be going dormant for me in a few weeks, and I have just kept it potted, kept very dry and on the cool side (50-60F/10-16C).
Is this “normal” behavior as it is for some of the other tuberous species? Should the plant be divided and if so, is now or next spring the best time?
