Sorry folks, I forgot the subject line..... Could the moderator please delete the first message without..... Thx, Bernhard. -----Original Message----- Date: Mon, 24 Sep 2007 08:44:15 +0200 From: "StroWi@t-online.de" <StroWi@t-online.de> To: "aroid-L" <aroid-l@gizmoworks.com> Aroiders, attached you find three pictures of a A. titanum grown from seed in 2003 in the Berggarten of Hannover, Germany. As far as I know the seed was obtained from the Botanical Garden in Bonn. Has anyone seen something similar; and how often is this leaf pattern found? The question is why this plant is variegated. The gardeners of the Berggarten suspect a virus equivalent to one that causes variegated plants in Abutilon. I would rather vote for an L2 chimaera. Or should transposons be involved???? Looking forward to any comment, Bernhard.
