Hello from Fife Washington

Hello group!
I work for the City of Fife (Between Tacoma & Seattle) and am going to start a community garden.  I have NEVER been a part of this type of community activity or program but can say that I am truely excited.  I think this will be the project that pulls our community together.  Is there anyone around me that can give me some direction or pointers of the WHO, WHAT, WHEREs for starting a garden in my area?
