RE: buttermilk from stones


the buttermilk thing worked for me, but it took two years.  luckily, most
gardeners learn patience and discard instant gratification.  also, the extra
buttermilk can be used to practice your bicuit making technique, which is
nice.

One thing that helps is to get some moss of the sort you would like to grow
and put in a blender with the buttermilk and blend the two together.
