Andrew Padian, who gardens the plot next to mine in the Clinton Community
Garden recently published a book review in Architecture Week, "Privately
Owned Public Space: The New York City Experience," by Jerold S. Kayden, the
New York City Department of City Planning, and the Municipal
Art Society of New York. It's available online at
