EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Full-time Education Specialist Position Available

EDUCATION SPECIALIST - The Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati seeks
an educator with a passion for gardening and the environment and a strong
sense of community to fill the position of Education Specialist. This is a
full-time position in adult and some youth programming. Responsibilities
include managing the Continuing Education programs including classes,
certificate programs and the lecture series, assisting with the Neighborhood
Gardens community gardening program, and selected youth gardening projects.

The applicant must work well with adults and children. They must be detail
oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be
able to work effectively in a multi-task environment. In addition the
applicant must be able to work a flexible work schedule year round,
including Saturdays and some evenings. A combination of education and
hands-on experience teaching in an environmental field is required.
Experience in gardening and garden construction is desirable.
