Trenton, NJ Community Garden Coordinator Position Available

Position Available:

COMMUNITY GARDENING COORDINATOR

Isles Inc. and non-profit community development and environmental
organization located in Trenton, New Jersey seeks a full time Community
Garden Coordinator.
Responsibilities include assisting Program Manager in all aspects of
implementing community gardening program.  Responsibilities include
recruitment of new gardeners and start-up of new garden sites; collaboration
with community gardeners to help plan new gardens, seasonal planting,
maintain and harvest city garden sites; coordination of site work throughout
growing season; supervision of volunteers and Youthbuild program
participants; teaching basic concepts of horticulture to youth; assistance
with planning special events such as Midsummer Garden Tour, Harvest dinner,
and City plant Sale.  

Job Requirements:
Knowledge and experience of gardening
Strength to load, unload and carry tools and other gardening materials 
Supervisory experience, especially with young people, a plus
Valid driving license
