I have had good luck using diatomaceous earth - a dust of the microscopic
shells of prehistoric sea life . Not good for people and other animals to
inhale. Effective on killing tiny unwanted creatures who ingest the dust
when grooming and don't seem to be able to develop a resistance to the
physical effect of the sharp particles.
