RE: Help - books?

Title: RE: [cg] Help - books?
Keriwidden,

These two out-of-print books are marvelous & are on my bookshelf at home:

Jobb. J.  1979.  The Complete Book of Community Gardening.  Morrow Quill, NY.

Naimark, S.  1982.  A Handbook of Community Gardening.  By Boston Urban Gardeners.  Charles Scribner's Sons, NY.

If you can get either of them out of Amazon ( or any book search) do it.

Also, you should go to the topics area of the ACGA website where you can find a wealth of  "how-to" information.

http://www.communitygarden.org

On community gardeners' needs - Community gardeners need  a continental voice advocating, educating and supplying informational support to community gardeners all over   North America.  The American Community Gardening Association, which also runs this listserve, is that organization.

If you are not already a member, I respectfully suggest that you do so. For the price of a pizza and a few beers ( or Chinese take-out if you prefer) you can become a member of this extraordinary organization.

Best wishes,

Adam Honigman

Hello!

I have had a (university-based) community garden in two states and am
looking for more information and advice.

I have not been able to identify any books that focus on the unique
needs of community gardeners.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY BOOKS?
(Not studies, please, "normal" gardening books.)

Thanks!
Kerridwen McNamara
