Herbology.......
This series will go through a cycle of 5 workshops starting with the basics of herbology followed by outlines for creating a healing garden to the culmination of making healing, nutritional and cosmetic products from garden plants.
Classes will be cumulative and by the end of the series young adult participants will be encouraged to group and plan a production line from plant to artisanal product for marketing.
Classes will be held at 2:00 pm on the following days:
Sunday : September 25
Saturday : October 1
Saturday : October 8
Sunday : October 9
Saturday : October 22
Classes will be taught by Annie Chadwick, a Wise Woman herbalist who has been gardening all her life, focusing over the last 13 years on the nutritional, medicinal and magical uses of herbs and wild plants especially in urban gardens. She has taught gardening, herbal and natural healing workshops throughout the NYC area.
All classes are free and, space permitting, open to all age groups. Presented by Dias y Flores Garden in association with Loisaida Inc.
