You might try a soapy solution. Is there are a product called SaferSoap in  
your area.   Or try a mild dish detergent: 1 teaspoon to a gallon of  water 
(shake well).  The soap will coat and smother the soft bodies of the  mealy bugs. 
How don't know how bad your infestation is, but this is a beginning  
(especially with the maidenhairs).
