i never cared much of the o'casia kids, al and col. for big leaves, i've pretty much settled in with the philodendron tribe, selloums and monsteras, and with bananas. also, pothos makes a striking tree climber, with its leaves reaching about a foot across.

and N California coastal areas - it's more like home to them.

For huge leaves, you can grow Alocasia and Colocasia in the ground,
I'm sure as some can make it in Raleigh, NC.
