Not sure how it would do in zone 5, Donna, but here it grows fast and starts blooming almost at once. The one in the picture is a volunteer, maybe a month and a half old. Yesterday it had two flowers [both now gone]; today it has three new ones--and lots of buds. It's not listed in A2Z [which is odd], but Sunset's National Garden Book says it will grow in all zones.

hum... those leaves would make a great backdrop here... how long does it take to get going Jim? Would lets say by the end of June would it be noticable in a zone 5 garden?
