Cathy, Yucca sprouts very easily from root cuttings (or I guess maybe
they're rhizomes..) So separating them from the mother plant and potting
them for a little while should be OK. Jims Fischer & Singer, does that
sound correct? I created many new varigated Yuccas from root cuttings. A

I have a Yucca that has been growing in my garden for 3 - 4 years. It has a number of offsets that I thought I would dig and move elsewhere. But when I tried, the offsets had no roots. They were simply connected to the parent plant by a thick ? rhizome. Any suggestions on the best way to separate and ensure offset survival?
