Re: Weather

I use sheets and/or blankets or just turn plastic pots over on the plants. That seems to work best, and the pots don't squish the plants while providing protection.

9 inches.... that is way too much! Are we suppose to get a freeze tonight? I wanted to go out and plant my tomatoes that I have had for a couple of weeks now. It is so cold and WINDY... that I can't make my self go out there. 
Can you throw sheets and blankets over things?

Hey, I hear ya....I just went outside and wrapped some mini Christmas
lights on one of my rose of sharon trees (small) so the freeze tonight
won't kill it back...and wrapped them around my herbs that I have
already planted outside, hoping it will help. So tired of this cold
weather....and RAIN. We got 9 inches of rain this last week. Water
leaked into our house and we had to get somebody out to fix it
yesterday. Ughhhh.

I just finished reading all my e-mail on the web because, for some reason, I'm 
not able to receive it on Outlook Express.  It's so cold here!  We have a
freeze warning for Tuesday morning between midnight and 9:00 a.m.  Home
Depot's nursery vendors are going nuts! I had hoped to get my yard mowed or something like it today, but my mower is not back from the shop. My neighbors are probably taking up a collection for me. I am more behind than ever this 
year!  I'm wondering if I will ever catch up...
