I have milkweed, and like you, have seen no sign of them this year. From my perspective, there have been a lot fewer butterflies of all kinds in my garden (I don't spray). Some have speculated that it may be due to the much cooler weather we in the midwest have had this summer. (For what it's worth our agricultural educator at the extension says that corn and soybeans are not happy with it either!)
