Re apple aphids/ SF Books
Cyndi,
I just read the 5th installment of Traviss' books. She needs an editor
with a bit more forceful on the tightening up... Karen tends to repeat
herself. But, they are a good read.
In the past 3 months or so I have read The Road. 2nd in the series by
Williams, Shadowplay. Robert Sawyer's Rollback and The Stolen Child by
Donohue. On order is the new addition to the Middle Earth by Tolikens's son.
Card's Empire is up on the shelf to be read now. There was a few more, but I
passed them on as I did not like the books enough to keep them in my library
for a reread in a few years.

Oh yeah, chocolate and a book. Gene, can I help you recuperate?
Seriously though hope it all goes well and that you won't have to do it
again.
Good SF: I have been reading Karen Traviss' Wess'har series, starts with
City of Pearl, pretty good SF although her formula is perhaps wearing
just the slightest bit after 5 books. Also working on Kage Baker's "The
Company" series. I liked Vernor Vinge's "Rainbow's End" too, it's a
standalone.
