They don't typically use deet in arial spraying, as it is only a repellent and really, they want to kill the mosquitos. So, I think you are safe for that one. I eat my veggies anyway. I figure I've probably breathed and absorbed whatever it is already, so throwing away the veggies is a moot point.

This is regular occurance here.  I haven't died yet from it, but
then our air quality is so bad much of the summer, a little extra crap mixed 
in probably doesn't make a difference.  I do agree with your position
however- if you don't want to be bitten by a mosquito, then stay inside or 
wear mosquito repellent.
