Re: History Major

Zem--do you subscribe to the New York Times crossword puzzles online? Best way in the world to start one's morning. After the OJ, of course, but during the coffee.

., can
you read Beowulf in the original ?
I could "back when the Earth was cooling" and I was an undergrad. <LOL> We
also read "Bede's Ecclastical History" and "The Anglo Saxon Chronicle" plus
excerpts from the Bible. It was surely one of the most interesting courses I
took. Remember I'm from the generation who was more interested in acquiring a
"MRS" degree than a BA. My mother was determined I would meet someone who would
take care of me. Well, over the years I met several of them but none who met
my criteria (whatever that was). I insisted my daughter learn to support
herself first, and, thankfully, she did. I am, however, a whiz at crossword
puzzles. I especially like diagramless ones and acrostics. :-) Most of all I enjoy
the peace of my own company.

Hope Santa is good to everybody on the list!

Love,
zem
