I only grow vegetables and herbs in pots -- one tomato, a couple of peppers, some basil and some thyme -- for salads in the summer. This year I grew a tomato called 'Patio tomato' which was something like a cross between a real one and a cocktail one. They were smallish and delicious. Had a hard time bringing them into the house, and I ate most of them on the way.

I have tried, not my bag. BTW, my "might if I did" referred to Auralie's question: "you wash vegetables before you eat them anyway, don't you?"

Ah, Ms Kitty, you should venture out and try. Nothing better than a home-grown tomato or a really crisp jalapeno. They are to the taste buds what the sweetest Pandora vine is to the nose. Unless you smoke, of course.
