I love vegetables!
It must have to do with having grown up in post war Germany. They were a 
delicacy to us. I remember my grandma making brussels sprouts, one of my favorite 
(my husband can't stand that family of veggies, only likes spinach, must have 
been popeye) she just added some browned, almost burned butter. That's how I 
prepare veggies to this day. Just slightly steamed, a little salt, maybe some 
herbs and definitely the dark butter.
